This year’s tournament highlighted not only the growing popularity of esports across Compton Unified, but also the academic and social benefits that come with participation.

Esports encourages teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and digital literacy—skills that translate into the classroom and future STEM career pathways.

As more students engage in competitive gaming, CUSD continues to create safe, structured environments where scholars can thrive both as players and as learners.

The district is incredibly proud of every scholar who stepped up to compete, represent their school, and bring their best to the competition. With interest in esports continuing to rise, the future looks bright for CUSD’s growing competitive gaming community.
