Scholars from 14 schools enjoy amazing day of activities and athleticism.
250 CUSD scholars from 14 schools came together for an inspiring Special Olympics celebration held on the Centennial High School football field.
Students from Bunche Elementary, Bursch, Carver, Centennial, Compton, Dickison, Dominguez, Enterprise, Kelly, McNair, Roosevelt, Tibby, Washington, and Whaley participated in a range of activities designed to promote athleticism, teamwork, and joy.
From races to volleyball, to obstacle courses and shooting soccer goals, scholar-athletes demonstrated remarkable determination and sportsmanship. Families, staff, and community members filled the sidelines, cheering on participants and celebrating the unique talents and achievements of every student who took the field. The energy, connection, and pride shared among all attendees made the event a standout moment for the District.
