Meet Rodrigo Leon, a proud member of the Compton High School Class of 2026. This fall, he will attend Compton College, where he plans to continue pursuing his passion for art and building a future fueled by creativity.

During his time at Compton High School, Rodrigo discovered a love for art while also enjoying science and history. Art became more than just a class—it became a way for him to express himself and explore his talents. Inspired and encouraged by his art teacher, Mr. C., Rodrigo gained the confidence to continue developing his artistic abilities beyond high school.

Rodrigo says one of the things he will miss most is the new Compton High School campus, which he describes as an incredible place to learn and grow. He believes future scholars will have amazing opportunities there and encourages them to make the most of everything the school has to offer.

His advice to younger students is simple but powerful: "Keep working hard." Rodrigo believes that dedication, perseverance, and taking education seriously can open doors to new opportunities and help build a successful future.

As he begins the next chapter of his educational journey, Rodrigo is grateful for the support he received at Compton Unified. He values the education, encouragement, and experiences that helped prepare him for college and the pursuit of his dreams.
