Meet Hailey Holloway, a proud graduate of the Dominguez High School Class of 2026. This fall, she will begin an exciting new chapter at Howard University, where she plans to major in Biology as she pursues her dream of a career in the medical field.
During her time at Dominguez High School, Hailey embraced every opportunity to lead and serve. As Associated Student Body (ASB) President, she developed the confidence, communication skills, and leadership experience that she considers one of her greatest accomplishments. She also participated in the school's Emergency Medical Response (EMR) program, where she gained a strong foundation in healthcare and discovered a passion for helping others through medicine.
Those experiences helped shape her future. Through leadership and hands-on learning, Hailey realized she wanted to dedicate her life to making a difference in the lives of others. Studying Biology is the next step toward achieving that goal.
Rather than being discouraged by obstacles, Hailey found motivation in those who doubted her. Their skepticism fueled her determination to work harder, prove herself, and pursue her dreams with confidence.
One of the most influential people in her educational journey was Ms. Westbrook, Dominguez High School's College and Career Specialist. Hailey credits her encouragement and guidance with helping her stay focused on her future and college aspirations.
Her advice to incoming scholars is simple but powerful: "Just do it. Don't hold back." She encourages students to get involved, believe in themselves, and take advantage of every opportunity their school has to offer.
For Hailey, education is the key to creating a brighter future. She knows that continuing her education will allow her to deepen her knowledge of medicine, expand her opportunities, and ultimately fulfill her passion for helping others.
