Compton High School Band Marches in Fiesta Bowl Parade
For the first time in school history, the World Famous Compton High School Marching Band, accompanied by the Dance Team, Drill Team, and Tall Flags, proudly represented Compton Unified in the annual Vrbo Fiesta Bowl Parade in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

A total of 111 Tarbabe scholars participated in the nationally recognized New Year’s celebration, marching along the parade route as part of one of the country’s most iconic college football–related events. They even met Grand Marshal WWE Superstar Nikki Bella.

The Fiesta Bowl Parade draws thousands of spectators each year and serves as a marquee kickoff to the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl festivities, highlighting top marching bands and performers from across the nation.

This year’s Vrbo Fiesta Bowl features a College Football Playoff matchup between the Miami Hurricanes and Ole Miss Rebels. As one of the premier bowls in college football, the Fiesta Bowl is broadcast nationally and plays a key role in the College Football Playoff, bringing national attention to the surrounding events and participants.

For Compton High School, participation in the Fiesta Bowl Parade marked a historic milestone and a powerful moment of pride for the school and community. The scholars’ performance showcased their talent, discipline, and commitment, while representing Compton Unified with excellence on a national stage.

Their participation reflects the strength of the district’s arts programs and the dedication of students and staff who made this unforgettable experience possible.
