Compton Unified School District teachers are back at work and preparing to welcome scholars for the first day of school on Thursday, August 13.

More than 750 teachers and staff are participating in two days of Professional Development at Clinton Elementary School and Davis Middle School, sharpening their skills and preparing to take teaching and learning to the next level during the new school year.

Professional Development sessions cover a wide range of subjects and programs, including Math, English Language Arts, Science, Advanced Placement courses and more.

The Juilliard School is also working with Compton Unified music and arts teachers, providing additional professional learning as educators prepare to inspire scholars through music, creativity and the arts.

The two days of training are part of CUSD’s final preparations for the start of the new school year. Our teachers are back, and our schools are ready to welcome back our amazing scholars on Thursday, August 13.
