Tiger Woods Foundation Sparks Learning at Bunche Elementary
Bunche Elementary students recently participated in an engaging Raspberry Pi Circuit Training workshop, sponsored by The Tiger Woods Foundation, where they explored the fundamentals of circuitry and coding. Using Raspberry Pi boards, wires, light bulbs, and single-pole/double-throw switches, students learned how to design and connect complete circuits while gaining a deeper understanding of how electricity flows.

After mastering the basics, students were challenged to build and test a circuit that could light a bulb using both single and double switches, and ultimately, to take it a step further by coding with Scratch to turn an LED light on and off.

The project required creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking, encouraging students to apply their new knowledge in meaningful, real-world ways. The experience highlighted how technology and innovation work together.

Beyond building circuits, students strengthened their problem-solving skills, gained confidence in STEM exploration, and were inspired to pursue pathways in engineering and coding—proving that with curiosity and persistence, the possibilities are limitless.
