Compton Unified School District officially signed a new partnership agreement with Tomorrow’s Talent during a special event in the Culinary Arts classroom at Compton High School recently. The signing brought together CUSD Board Member Satra Zurita, Superintendent Dr. Darin Brawley, district leaders, and Dale Marsden, founder of Tomorrow’s Talent and his team. A number of scholars were present to witness this important milestone for the district.

CUSD Scholars joined CUSD and Tomorrow's Talent staff for the signing.

The new partnership is designed to strengthen career preparation by connecting students with meaningful real-world experiences. Tomorrow’s Talent will expand opportunities for internships, and competency-based pre-apprenticeship programs, all while building stronger connections between the district and local employers.

In addition, Tomorrow’s Talent will provide Workforce Readiness Training at all CUSD high schools. This includes resume and interview preparation, professional skills workshops, certification-based training, and ongoing career development support. By embedding these opportunities directly into the student experience, the program ensures that scholars are not only prepared for graduation but also equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed in today’s competitive workforce.

CUSD Board Member Satra Zurita, CUSD Superintendent Dr. Darin Brawley, and Tomorrow's Talent Founder Dale Marsden sign the agreement.
