Halloween Celebrated Across Compton Unified Schools

Media Release

McNair, like others, held spirited parade that brought families and fun together.

Across the Compton Unified School District, students, teachers, and families came together this week to celebrate Halloween with creativity, joy, and school pride. From costume parades to classroom celebrations, campuses throughout the district were filled with laughter, colorful outfits, and a sense of community that made the day truly special.

At McNair Elementary, the celebration came to life with the school’s annual Halloween Parade. Students proudly showed off their costumes — from superheroes and princesses to classic ghosts and goblins — while teachers and staff joined the fun with their own festive attire. Parents lined the walkways, cheering and taking photos as they shared in the excitement of the day.

Events like these across Compton Unified do more than mark a holiday — they help strengthen the connection between families and schools. When parents are engaged and involved, it enriches students’ educational experiences and builds lasting bonds within the community.

From McNair Elementary to campuses across the district, Halloween 2025 was a wonderful reminder that learning, laughter, and community spirit go hand in hand.
