Sixteen students from Compton Early College High School and Compton High School participated in Microsoft’s Minority Student Day, in partnership with the Black Student Achievement Department. Designed to expose students to cutting-edge AI technology, the program highlighted its impact across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, and gaming.

Students engaged with Microsoft professionals to explore AI-driven healthcare solutions like medical imaging analysis and virtual health assistants. In the manufacturing and automotive sectors, they learned how AI-powered automation is transforming production lines and vehicle technology.

During the gaming industry segment, students participated in think tanks, brainstorming innovative ways to enhance games using AI. They explored adaptive gameplay, AI-generated environments, and smarter NPC interactions. After refining their ideas, they presented AI-driven game concepts, demonstrating how artificial intelligence can revolutionize the gaming experience.

Through interactive workshops, demonstrations, and discussions, students gained firsthand insight into AI’s real-world applications. This experience expanded their understanding of emerging technologies and inspired them to consider careers in AI-driven industries.

At the end of the workshop, each student received a Certificate of Completion, recognizing their participation and newly acquired knowledge in AI innovation. Microsoft’s Minority Student Day, in collaboration with the Black Student Achievement Department, provided a gateway for these students to envision themselves as future leaders in the AI-powered world.
