Compton Success Profiles: Natalie Lopez, Compton High School
Compton Unified is proud to celebrate the incredible journey of Natalie Lopez, a standout graduate from Compton High School’s Class of 2025. This fall, Natalie will begin a new chapter at UC Berkeley, where she plans to major in Media Studies. Her dream is to become a book editor—and eventually, an author.
Natalie is a shining example of the excellence nurtured within Compton Unified School District. She began her academic journey at Kennedy Elementary School, continued on to Roosevelt Middle School, and then thrived at Compton High. Along the way, she challenged herself with Advanced Placement courses, took full advantage of the resources available, and remained focused on her goals—not only for herself, but to inspire her younger sister to dream even bigger.

When asked what advice she has for younger students, Natalie encourages them to get involved in school clubs, meet new people, and embrace every opportunity that comes their way.

As she heads off to one of the top public universities in the country, Natalie leaves behind a powerful message: Education opens doors to endless possibilities.

Congratulations, Natalie Lopez—another brilliant Compton Unified success story.
