Compton Success Profiles: Javier Hernandez, Compton Early College HS

Javier Hernandez, a proud member of the Compton Early College High School Class of 2025, is preparing to take the next step in his academic and professional journey at UCLA, where he will study Music Industry.

Thanks to the college credits he earned while in high school, Javier will be entering UCLA as a junior and is on track to graduate in just two years.

During his time at Compton Early College, Javier served as president of the school’s production club and focused heavily on audio production. He credits his Audio Production teacher, Mr. Adams, with sparking his interest in the music business and providing inspiration that continues to drive him today.

Javier is a proud Compton native who attended McKinley Elementary, Bursch Elementary, and Enterprise Middle School before joining the early college program. Raised by a single mother, he learned to lean on his community and school for support, building strong relationships and developing the confidence to pursue his goals.

He got a job at Live Nation, gaining firsthand experience in the music industry and deepening his understanding of the career opportunities that exist behind the scenes. In his free time, Javier enjoys attending concerts and learning all he can about the industry he hopes to one day help shape.
