Compton Success Profiles: Giselle Mora, Compton High School
Giselle Mora, a proud graduate of Compton High School’s Class of 2025, is on her way to UC Davis this fall, where she will major in Animal Science. Her ultimate goal is to become a veterinarian—an aspiration she’s held since childhood due to her deep love for animals.
Throughout high school, Giselle was a dedicated student and a participant in the Upward Bound Math and Science program, which helped her grow academically and provided valuable insight into her college and career options.

Giselle has been a student in the Compton Unified School District her entire life. She began her academic journey at Rosecrans Elementary, continued at Davis Middle School, and completed high school at Compton High. Along the way, she faced challenges like procrastination, which she overcame by setting personal goals and staying focused.

She reflects fondly on her time in Compton Unified, especially the strong support from her teachers and the resources available to help students succeed. One of the highlights of her high school experience was meeting other students and learning about their unique stories and perspectives.

Inspired by her older sister, a graduate of UC Irvine, Giselle is excited to continue her educational journey and pursue a future in veterinary medicine. She represents the strength, ambition, and heart of Compton Unified students.
