DBPAC Holiday Meeting Focused on Tackling Chronic Absenteeism Together
With over 90 families in attendance, the DBPAC Holiday Event was a joyful and impactful evening that brought families together for learning, support, and holiday cheer.

The event opened with an informative presentation on the effects of chronic absenteeism on academic achievement, emphasizing how consistent school attendance directly influences student success, academic growth, and long-term outcomes. Families were equipped with practical strategies and resources to support regular attendance and keep students actively engaged in their learning.

Following the presentation, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Compton Alumnae Chapter, generously supported families in need by providing $100 grocery gift cards, helping to ease financial stress during the holiday season and reinforcing their commitment to service and community uplift.

The evening continued with holiday-themed Bingo, where families shared laughter, built connections, and enjoyed the opportunity to win exciting prizes.

A special highlight of the night was the recognition of our Shining Stars of the Month, honoring students for their academic growth, positive behavior, leadership, and perseverance.

The DBPAC Holiday Event showcased the power of partnership, education, and community—ensuring families felt informed, supported, and celebrated as we head into the holiday season.
