Media Release

Campuses Filled with Joyful Music and Inspiring Performances

Reindeer pranced across stages, Santa made special appearances, elves spread cheer, and even the Grinch showed up as Compton Unified School District schools brought the holidays to life through joyful winter concerts across the district.

Lunchrooms transformed into festive stages as scholars embraced the spirit of the season with creative costumes, storytelling, music, and movement that delighted audiences and filled campuses with holiday cheer.

From preschool through 12th grade, campuses have been filled with music, movement, and joyful performances as scholars take the stage to welcome the upcoming holidays.

These winter concerts feature a variety of performances, including singing, dancing, and acting out holiday scenes. Scholars have been performing beloved favorites such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Mele Kalikimaka, Blitzen’s Boogie, Warm Winter, Feliz Navidad, Light a Little Candle, and Little Snowflake, bringing holiday cheer to packed auditoriums and blacktops across the district.

At some schools, families and parents are invited to attend and enjoy these special celebrations, giving them the opportunity to see firsthand the dedication and effort scholars have put into preparing for their performances.

For many schools, the concerts serve as meaningful moments of connection between classrooms and families, strengthening school communities while creating lasting memories.

Compton Unified’s Holiday Concerts are more than seasonal celebrations—they reflect the district’s commitment to the arts and to providing scholars with opportunities to build confidence, express creativity, and showcase their talents.

As the district heads into the holiday break, these performances stand as a joyful reminder of the passion, teamwork, and pride that define Compton Unified schools.
