Compton Success Profiles: Brooklyn Adams, Compton Early College HS
Brooklyn Adams, a proud member of the Compton Early College High School Class of 2025, is preparing to take her next big step: attending UC Berkeley this fall. She plans to major in Psychology on the Pre-Med track, with the goal of becoming a Clinical Child Psychologist—a career path inspired by her passion for helping children.
Brooklyn is graduating with not one, but two Associate of Arts degrees—one in Humanities and one in Science—before even stepping foot on a university campus. Her academic accomplishments reflect her commitment, determination, and focus throughout her educational journey.

A product of Compton Unified School District, Brooklyn attended Clinton and Tibby Elementary Schools, Walton Middle School, and Compton Early College High School. During her time in high school, she remained highly involved in extracurricular activities, participating in BSU, ASB, and Note to Self. She also played softball for two years and held the distinguished role of Student Board Member to the CUSD Board of Trustees.

Brooklyn credits her mother as her greatest inspiration, offering encouragement and support every step of the way. She also developed strong time management skills, learning to use an academic planner to stay on top of goals, assignments, and responsibilities.
One of the highlights of her high school experience was being involved in clubs, which she says helped her grow as a leader. Now, as she prepares to enter college, Brooklyn hopes to inspire her younger cousins and peers, showing them that they too can succeed and pursue higher education.
Brooklyn Adams is a shining example of the talent, leadership, and promise that exists within Compton Unified. Her journey is one of hard work, community support, and a vision for a better future—and she is just getting started.
