Compton Academy of Technology and Innovation (C-Tech) High School Opens
Compton Unified School District is proud to announce the opening of its newest high school, the Compton Academy of Technology and Innovation (C-Tech). The pioneering school is designed to prepare scholars for high-demand careers through the innovative P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) model.

This innovative school offers scholars the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and a tuition-free associate degree, alongside invaluable industry-focused experience. By blending rigorous academic instruction with hands-on, real-world learning, C-Tech will empower students to graduate ready for high-growth fields such as Biotechnology, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain & Logistics (Robotics and Automation), and Green Engineering.

At C-Tech, students benefit from unique industry-focused learning, gaining skills in fields like IT, Healthcare, and Engineering through state-of-the-art curricula. They gain real-world work experience by participating in internships, mentorships, and collaborative projects with industry leaders. The school features small classes and individual attention where scholars receive personalized guidance from expert teachers and industry mentors.

Students at C-Tech dive into dynamic fields that are shaping the future:
- Biotechnology: Innovate solutions for health, agriculture, and the environment.
- Cybersecurity: Protect computer systems and data from cyber threats.
- Supply Chain & Logistics: Master the art of efficient product delivery and management.

These pathways provide access to exciting and well-paying careers, such as Environmental Engineer ($75,000-$110,000), Cybersecurity Analyst ($70,000-$100,000), and Geneticist ($70,000-$130,000), among many others.

Compton Academy of Technology and Innovation kicks off with its first 9th grade class with scholars who are motivated to combine high school, college, and practical experience into one transformative journey. Scholars will graduate prepared to enter the workforce in thriving industries or continue their education at a four-year university.
