Foster's Dads Bring Scholars to School
Getting parents and the local community engaged with your school is critical to the educational process. To reach that goal, Foster Elementary School participated in the national “Dads Bring Your Child to School Day.” The school encouraged fathers and father figures to bring their scholars to school, and welcomed them with smiling faces, a continental breakfast, several info booths, and more.
In addition, they asked the fathers to sign a pledge to be more involved with their children’s life and education. Foster is committed to doing more outreach to its local community and will have additional events this school year engaging families.
Community involvement and parental engagement in schools is crucial for fostering a supportive learning environment that enhances student achievement and well-being. When parents actively participate, it strengthens the connection between home and school, leading to better communication, improved academic outcomes, and a more vibrant school community.
This is happening every day across all of the Compton Unified School District and it is part of what makes our schools great.
