CUSD Workforce Wednesday Talks Partnerships, Honors Dodgers Foundation, Champion, ACFC
How can you partner with a school district? That's just what was discussed at CUSD’s Workforce Wednesday yesterday.

More than 50 people listened to Compton Board of Trustees Vice President Satra Zurita, Superintendent Dr. Darin Brawley, and Senior Director, Instructional Tech and Innovation Michele Dawson discuss some upcoming district projects such as Art H.E.A.LS Community Fest at McKinley K-8 Integrated Arts School May 18 and CUSD's Steamfest taking place on May 30, and how to get involved with those and other district events.

The event was hosted by CUSD Senior Director of Business Partnerships and Schools Michelle Edgar and Senior Director, CTE/ROP/School and Business Partnerships Rose Gonzalez who welcomed the audience and talked about the opportunities working with the district's various CTE programs.

During the presentation, Edgar presented Certificates of Recognition to Sulema Felix, Senior Manager of Community Outreach for Angel City FC; Champion’s Maritza Whittaker; and Manny A. Aceves, Ed.D., Chief Program Officer for the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation for their support of the Compton Unified School District.
