Centennial Scholars Attend Grammy Museum Songwriting Workshop
Audio Scholars from Centennial High School visited the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles recently for a songwriting workshop led by platinum producer/songwriter Schyler O'Neal.
During the session, the students learned about song structures, including identifying hooks, tags, choruses, and pre-choruses. The scholars actively contributed by creating titles, lyrics, and structuring sentences to compose a song. As the workshop progressed, the scholars not only honed their songwriting skills, but also gained a deeper appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship behind creating music.
Delasia Smith, an Audio Production Scholar, led the presentation with her group members at the Clive Davis Auditorium. In the end, the students learned many valuable techniques and lessons around the songwriting craft.
