Holiday Cheer Celebrated Across Compton Unified

It’s the holiday season and across Compton Unified, schools held a variety of shows, events, and celebrations to recognize the season.

Compton High School hosted an amazing Holiday Celebration performance that left everyone in awe! The extravaganza featured the incredible Compton High School Concert Band conducted by Mr. Ransfer, plus the brand-new Guitar Ensemble directed by Mr. Carbonara, and the comedic talents of students guided by Ms. Wilson.

Audiences enjoyed holiday favorites such as “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “De Colores,” “My King,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Triste Recordo,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Feliz Navidad.”

Emerson Elementary brought the holiday spirit to life with their annual Christmas Concert. Held on the school’s playground, a huge crowd of parents and scholars gathered to enjoy the festive performances.

The show kicked off with a high-energy routine by the school’s cheerleaders, followed by all-grade-level performances of holiday favorites like I Love Christmas, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, My Favorite Things, Navidad Navidad Dulce Navidad, I’m the Happiest Christmas Tree, and many more.

Parents cheered and applauded, celebrating the incredible talent and hard work of our students. It was a magical day filled with joy, music, and community!

Bursch Elementary School scholars brought the holiday spirit to life during their Winter Concert. With joyful songs and dazzling dances, the performance delighted a large crowd of proud parents and families.

Many other schools also held amazing performances for parents and families. Music plays a vital role in education, fostering creativity, confidence, and academic growth in students.
