30 CUSD Scholars Prepare for Drone Comps

Drone teams from Compton Early College High School, Compton High School, Clinton, Anderson, King, and Kelly Elementary schools showcased their skills at the Pacifica Workshop2@Santa Monica Bay Aerial Drone Competition workshop and scrimmage, organized by the REC Foundation.

Thirty scholars from the CUSD elementary, middle, and high schools participated in the event at Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica. The scrimmage was more than just a practice session—it was a chance for students to engage in hands-on learning, hone their technical skills, and experience the thrill of competition in a supportive environment.

This event highlighted the importance of collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation as students navigated challenges and refined their drone-flying techniques. It also provided a platform for scholars to connect with peers who share a passion for technology and engineering.
