20 Dominguez Scholars Tour Sony, Jeopardy Studios
Twenty Dominguez High School 10th and 11th grade scholars recently got to watch a live taping of Jeopardy! It was part of a behind-the-scenes look at Sony Pictures Studios, where they explored the world of film and television production, and inspired their future careers.
Students from Mr. Adams' Digital Media Production class had an unforgettable experience watching the taping of three Jeopardy! episodes, as well as touring the Foley Stage, exploring the props storage office where they got up close with the real Johnny 5 from Short Circuit, and checking out a replica of the Seinfeld set.
For these scholars who are aspiring filmmakers, directors, and producers, this trip was more than just a fun day, it was a glimpse into their possible futures. And of course, the complimentary lunch was the cherry on top!
Mr. Adams plans to bring even more scholars back to Sony Studios next semester to continue inspiring the next generation of creative minds.
Seeing real careers in action helps students dream big. CUSD and Dominguez High School keeps opening doors and providing these incredible opportunities for our scholars to explore their passions.
