29 Bunche Middle School Newcomers Tour UCLA

A group of 29 Bunche Middle School Newcomer scholars took an inspiring field trip to UCLA recently. Led by a current UCLA student, the Bunche students explored the beautiful campus, marveled at iconic architecture like Royce Hall (home to graduation ceremonies for Latinx and African-American students), and learned about the many academic paths available at the nation’s #1-ranked public university, according to U.S. News 2024.

From Math and Sciences to Latin American Studies, the Bunche scholars got a firsthand look at STEAM-related degree programs and even spotted a food-delivery robot in action!

This college tour experience opened up a world of possibilities for these bright, young students, ensuring that they see themselves in a future where they attend college and prepare for amazing and successful careers.
