CUSD Schools Open for 2024-25 School Year
Compton Unified School District’s award-winning schools opened today for the start of the 2024-25 school year. More than 18,000 amazing students are back at the 36 schools across the city of Compton.
Dominguez High School Principal Caleb Oliver greeted new students.
They were greeted by more than 2,000 exceptional teachers, principals, assistant principals, administrators, and staff this morning, ready to provide an exceptional education to students!

At many schools, principals were front and center, shaking hands and high fiving students as they walked through the campus gates. Parents were invited to walk their children all the way to their classrooms, having the opportunity to personally say hello to their children's teachers.
Whaley Middle School Principal Ronald Keaton opened the gates and welcomed back scholars.
