During high school, she pushed herself academically, taking 10 AP courses, five honors courses, and two college courses. The challenging class schedule proved to her that she became better and more interested in her academics. Those classes helped her work hard and strive for success.

She values her education because of her family. Camila’s parents were from Mexico and their education ended in high school. They wished they had more education because it would mean more opportunities and a happier life. So, they told Camila to take every educational opportunity she could get.
