Meet Manuel Rodrigues, Centennial High School Class of 2023 graduate. He will be attending California State University, Long Beach in the fall, studying Kinesiology. After getting hurt playing rugby his senior year, he gained a new appreciation for the field and wants to help athletes overcoming injuries and succeed.
Living in Compton, he attended Longfellow Elementary and then went to high school at Centennial. After struggling with his schoolwork his freshmen year, Manuel realized the importance of education, refocused on his studies, and was an honor student the next three years.
Manuel appreciated the fact that the teachers and administrators at Compton Unified schools want to see students succeed. He values his education because he wants to have a successful career and support a family.
