Meet Leila Sauceda, a Compton High School Class of 2023 graduate. She is heading to California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, California, in the fall, majoring in Political Science. She wants to pursue a career as a public defender, helping people from low-income families.
Growing up in Compton, she attended Dickison Elementary, Enterprise Middle School, and Compton High School. Throughout her academic journey, she was thankful that her teachers, instructors, and councilors gave her the motivation to focus on her studies. She values her education because she knows it’ll provide her a better life.
