Compton Success Profiles: Dennis Lopez

Meet Dominguez High School Class of 2023 graduate Dennis Lopez. He is attending Cerritos College in Norwalk, California in the fall, majoring in Biology. He wants to be a doctor after college.
Dennis moved to the United States two years ago from El Salvador and was challenged to learn English. But his teachers at Dominguez encouraged him to keep learning English, and to keep doing well in high school.
He was thankful for the afterschool clubs, programs, and sports like volleyball at Dominguez. He also appreciated Compton’s newcomer programs for students from other countries.
