Enrollment Process
Application Requirements:
- All entering Kindergarten students are eligible for the program.
- 1ST Grade applications may be submitted. However, 1st Grade space limited and students from the previous year will take priority.
- English Only/English Dominant students will only be placed in 1st grade up until the end of December.
- At grades 2nd-6th, applications from English Dominant students are no longer considered. However, Newcomer students whose primary language is Spanish may still enroll.
Priority for Acceptance into the DI Program
First Priority |
Students whose school of residence is Dickison, Kennedy, or Emerson elementary school

Second Priority |
Non-School of Residence students who have a sibling in the Dual Immersion Program
|
Third Priority |
Non-School of Residence CUSD students
|
Fourth Priority |
Open to other students in surrounding districts

Application Process for Current CUSD Students
- Parents will complete an online or hard copy version of the application. Spaces are limited and students will be placed on a waiting list if there is no room available at the selected site.
- If the student is currently enrolled in a Dual Immersion school, parents
will just notify the school that they want their child in the program. - Parents whose school of residence is not a DLI site will need to complete
