Compton Unified School District welcomed AEG and Tomorrow’s Talent to Compton High School for an inspiring Pathways to Entertainment: Celebrating Black History Month career panel, bringing together 300 scholars from Centennial, Chavez, Compton, Compton Early College, and Dominguez High Schools.

Dominguez High School has officially launched its new U.S. Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (MCJROTC) program, and the response from students has been nothing short of extraordinary. In its very first year, more than 80 scholars signed up to participate in the class that’s part of a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway.

Tasia Coleman, a proud member of Compton High School’s Class of 2025, is preparing to take her next big step: attending Southern University A&M this fall, where she will major in Pre-Med. Her goal is to become a pediatric surgeon.

Samantha Genovez, a proud graduate of the Dominguez High School Class of 2025, is on her way to Mt. Saint Mary’s College this fall, where she will major in Biology. Her goal is to become a cardiologist—an aspiration fueled by determination, resilience, and the strong foundation she built in CUSD.

Meet Hailey Parra, Class of 2025 graduate from Compton Early College High School! Not only did she earn her high school diploma—she also graduated with two associate degrees. This fall, she’s headed to UC Riverside to major in Electrical Engineering.
