Halloween was in full swing across Compton Unified School District, with schools like Mayo, McNair, Roosevelt, and Washington Elementary, among many others, hosting exciting Halloween parades.
Anderson, Kelly, and Tibby Elementary scholars recently attended the JA Finance Park and experienced an engaging financial literacy experience organized by the CUSD Black Student Achievement Department.

Meet Emily Garcia, Dominguez High School Class of 2024 graduate. She will be attending University of California, Los Angeles in the fall, majoring in Public Health.
Meet Triana Perez-Ayon, Compton Early College High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian. She will be attending the University of California, Los Angeles in the fall, majoring in Physiological Science. She wants to become a neurosurgeon.
Meet Jason Tillman, Dominguez High School Class of 2024 graduate. He will be attending California State University, Long Beach in the fall. He’s enrolled in the College of Business, to develop his entrepreneurial skills. He hopes to start his own business in the future.
Meet T’Mar Harris, Compton Early College High School Class of 2024 graduate. He also earned an Associates of Arts and Social Studies degree from Compton College. He will be attending Tuskegee University in the fall, majoring in Computer Science and Information Systems.
Meet Tania Rodriguez, Compton High School Class of 2024 graduate. She will be attending California State University, Los Angeles in the fall. She wants to major in Health Care.
Meet Wendy Alfaro, Dominguez High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian. She will be attending UCLA in the fall and wants to pursue Architecture.
