PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - CLERK

This course is designed to provide an extensive course of instruction in handling over the counter prescription or "Chart Orders" from Doctors in a hospital pharmacy. The course is detailed to allow the pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant to package and distribute prescribed medications. The course is also designed to familiarize students with drug and medical terminology and basic human anatomy as well as the necessary skills to assist the pharmacist in prescription preparation and administration. 572 hours. (Prerequisite: High School Diploma/GED -- can be obtained through Compton Adult School) $45 + $10 registration fee per session.
