CLASSES OFFERED
BUSINESS APPLICATIONS
Students will be introduced to EXCEL, ACCESS & POWERPOINT. These classes are designed to teach students the beginning through advanced features.
CALCULATING MACHINE OPERATOR (ten-key)
Students will be introduced to a practical application of ten-key by-touch, and develop the ability to solve, both efficiently and skillfully, various types of business problems involving the four arithmetic processes: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER OPERATION
Students will learn the basic features of word processing, spreadsheets, and database software by doing hands-on computer exercises.
MACHINE TRANSCRIPTION
Students will learn to operate a transcribing machine, produce transcripts using word processing software.
MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION
Students will learn to transcribe medical reports from dictated recordings using word processing software. The training includes the use of reference materials and the formatting of reports.
OFFICE PROCEDURES
Students will be introduced to general office skills, develop language and spelling skills, learn filing techniques and operation of office equipment. Students will complete job applications, prepare to take and successfully pass employment test, write personal resumes, prepare for and demonstrate job interview techniques.
KEYBOARDING
Students will learn proper keyboarding techniques, develop accuracy and speed.
WORD PROCESSING - BEGINNING
Students will learn how to create, format, save, and print documents using basic through advanced features of Microsoft Word for Windows.
