Principal’s Message
It is the mission of Compton Unified School District Community Day High School to provide students with an alternative education. Through individualized and collaborative instruction, we will focus on the improvement of social skills, basic skills, and self-esteem necessary for the optimal development of students’ individual potential.
The success of our school is contingent upon the empowerment of teachers, parents, students, and community members working together to actively take part in the educational process. By instilling values, developing responsibility, providing experience in conflict resolution and problem solving, our students will become responsible and productive citizens in a culturally diverse society.
Staff members will engage students in a challenging and rigorous curriculum; will prepare students for college, prepare students to qualify for technical preparation programs and jobs; will develop outcome-based accountability; will provide effective support and help reduce the dropout rate; will establish an environment of professionalism for school faculty; and will initiate effective parent, business, and community involvement.
