Principal’s Message

Welcome to Dickison Elementary School! We are pleased to report that Dickison has made significant progress in academic achievement. All student subgroups, with the exception of English Learners, made Adequate Yearly Progress under the No Child Left Behind Legislation. Our mission is to prepare students to develop into responsible, productive and culturally sensitive citizens in our society. We accomplish this by providing a quality education for all students. Ongoing professional development is provided for all staff to ensure our students receive an instructionally sound program. Dickison has a variety of programs available to meet the varied academic, social and emotional needs of our students. Information on these programs is shared throughout the school year. We actively solicit parent involvement to improve student achievement. I have an Open Door Policy and welcome you to share any concerns or offer suggestions for ongoing improvement at Dickison. This document will provide information on community involvement, budget, staffing, attendance, ethnic makeup, test scores, instructional materials and school-wide discipline. We look forward to your continued support.
