Principal's Message

As we continue in our quest for excellence, I would like to share some of the things we have been doing at Roosevelt Middle School to ensure high academic achievement for our students.

Our curricular emphasis for the 2003–04 school year was Language Arts and Mathematics. The instructional program was data driven and California Content Standards based. One hundred percent of our students participated in the STAR test, and 10 percent of the eighth grade students participated in the Golden State Exam. Significant changes that took place at Roosevelt Middle School include the completion of a new library and science lab. Our students have had the opportunity to carry out science experiments in the newly completed lab. In addition, we instituted a variety of after school programs, including a tutorial program and a drama club.

Our commitment to Roosevelt Middle School students is to provide a safe and clean learning environment that will enable students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.
