RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
During the 2004-2005 school year, Compton Unified School District (CUSD) reported a total student enrollment of 31,449 students in grades K-12. CUSD serves the majority of this student population in one of the twenty-four elementary schools; eight middle schools, or three comprehensive high schools. Alternative education programs are provided through one continuation high school, one pregnant minors program, one independent study program, two community day schools, and an adult school. CUSD also offers coursework through a Regional Occupational Program/ VocationalEducation/ School-to-Work Program (ROP/VocEd).
District Central Office personnel offer continuous support relative to District policy and educational programs. An important component of the Central Office network is the Categorical Programs Office. This District Office provides the following support services to Compton High:
