Robert Klaas

Mr. Klaas was born and raised in the New York/New Jersey area. He also lived in Pennsylvania and Ohio growing up because his father’s job moved him around. Mr. Klaas graduated from high school and then went on to college to major in Psychology. He later moved to California and was a teacher before becoming a counselor. He has been in California since 1996. Mr. Klaas got married in 2001 and is currently working on a Psych degree. His hobbies include: movies, baseball, volleyball, tennis, bowling and anything that is adventurous and spontaneous. Weakness: ice cream!!
Nia League
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Cal State Fullerton in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling and PPS Credential from Cal State Dominguez Hills. I have been in education for ten years in both the public and private sector; the last six years at Compton H.S., two of which were as College/Career Counselor. My goal is to have all my students reach their optimum post-secondary options.
Araya Hiyabu
I am from Eritrea, East Africa. I have a B.B. in Psychology and an M.S. in Educational Counseling with a PPS Credential. My passion in life is to empower Compton High School students succeed in their educational goals and attain their highest life dreams.
Ricardo Reyes
A native of Compton, he is a graduate of Dominguez High School. He attended Occidental College for his Bachelor’s degree of arts in political science. He taught English-as-a-second language and high school courses in the Compton Adult School before pursuing a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling at New Mexico Highlands University. He has also worked in government administration and business management after obtaining a Masters in Business Administration at the International Institute for Management Development. He returned to education as a counselor and is nearing completion of a Doctorate in Education at the University of Southern California.
Bonita Bradshaw
Guidance & Special Education Administrator/Student Support Coordinator
Ms. Bradshaw is a graduate of Manual Dominguez High School who became one of the first women to be accepted to the University of Notre Dame. She holds a BA in Fine Arts, and a Masters of Science in Educational Administration and Administrative Internship. A 16-year coach in women’s basketball, Ms. Bradshaw taught for 18 years before becoming an administrator. She is an artist by trade, specializing in black genre art and portrait art.
