Digital Breakouts are based on escape rooms where participants are locked in a room for 60 minutes. They have to find clues hidden within the room to find keys to unlock the doors. A digital breakout involves putting all the clues on a website and having students solve the puzzles and unlock the website. They are usually timed for 30-40 minutes. Teams of 3-4 students work together to solve puzzles that involve Common Core Standard questions to be the first to breakout of the "room".
