The Education Technology Department invites you to join us for lunch and learning about technology tools. In this series, we provide professional development specifically designed for district office employees regarding the needs that many of you have expressed in a survey from the fall semester. Bring your lunch, computer, and good attitude, and in just an hour and half, you'll leave with a new set of skills.

Google Docs for Beginners

Google Drive is a component of GAFE that facilitates the storage and sharing of files including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, videos, and images seamlessly. You can sync, edit, collaborate, and access your files anywhere, anytime, and on any device. Furthermore, there is no need to concern yourself with storage capacity because there is no limit quota when using GAFE at CUSD. During this session participants will become familiar with “My Drive” and establishing the various uses of docs, including creating, formatting, inserting images and hyperlinking text, using research tools, and setting appropriate sharing/permissions to collaborate with different editing options.
Using Google Forms

Whether you want to create a quiz, survey, registration form, questionnaire, or poll, Google Forms can help you quickly and easily collect and analyze information from multiple users. The primary emphasis on this session is forms, but there will be a very basic overview of Google Sheets. In line with Common Core State Standards, forms and sheets foster making strategic use of digital media and visual displays of data to express information.
Accelerating Productivity with Excel

This Microsoft Excel training will teach users how to create and edit basic worksheets, perform calculations in an Excel worksheet, and modify the appearance of data within a worksheet. This training is designed for district office employees who want to gain the necessary skills to create, edit, format, and print basic Microsoft Excel worksheets.
